Annual Santa Claus Patrol Week Kicks-Off starting with Photos with Santa at the Firehouse!

This year, we are proud to announce that Santa himself will be posing for photos with kids of all ages (bring the pets too) on Sunday, December 16 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Main Fire Station located at 113 North New Prospect Road (at the intersection of New Prospect, Larsen and Hyson Roads). A professional photographer will be on hand to take the precious photos. Light refreshments will be served. There is no charge for the photos but donations to the fire company will be accepted.

Station 55 will conduct our annual Santa Claus Patrol through the neighborhoods of Fire District 3 that we serve on a first-alarm basis (generally the northeast portion of the town) beginning on Monday night December 17, and continuing each night until all streets in the fire district have been covered. We cannot guarantee which neighborhoods will be covered on which specific nights due to weather and any emergency incident calls which may interrupt Santa's tour. Yes, Virginia, Santa is a volunteer firefighter too. How do you think he knows so much about chimneys?

Fire Safety Tips

In the hands of a child, matches and lighters can be deadly! Store them where kids can't reach them, preferably in a locked area. Teach children that matches and lighters are "tools" and should only be used by adults.
